New Artist: Guillermo

Check out our newest artist, Guillermo! He is a painter and illustrator based in NYC. His work focuses on a well rendered atmosphere and the use of light.

After graduating in Intellectual property law in 2017, he trained at the Atelier Artium Peña (Madrid) and is currently studying an MFA in Painting at the New York Academy of Art, where he was awarded the President’s Scholar Award and the David Schafer Artists of Excellence Scholarship. He has exhibited in solo and group shows in Madrid, Paris, and New York, and his work has been shown twice at ARCO Madrid. 

His illustration heroes are Ronald Searle, Saul Steinberg, and Sempé, and will always admire early Disney background artists and animation pioneers.

If he couldn’t be an illustrator or painter, he would be a filmmaker. He has a love for movies and TV shows and believes that animations and storyboards are the best combination of both worlds.
